Our cooking classes are taught by metro area chefs. All classes are observational and like "Dinner and a Show"! You will get to eat everything that's prepared and receive written recipes and get to interact with the chef. You also get a storewide 10% discount (excluding gift cards and super savers). You may bring any beverage of your choice, we will provide bottled water and also have wine glasses and openers.
Inclement Weather Cancellation Policy
The international pantry reserves the right to cancel any class that fails to attract sufficient enrollment, chef illness/emergency, or inclement weather. We will contact you by the telephone number you provided when you signed up and issue a full refund or be transferred to another class of your choice if available. Our intention is to not endanger you, our chef, or our staff, so we will take all factors into consideration when making the decision.
Please understand that we are a business; if the class is not cancelled, we will not issue a refund.
If you choose to miss a class due to weather-related concerns, our standard cancellation policy applies.
Standard Cancellation Policy
You must call by the Thursday prior to the class by 5p.m.
in order not to be charged.
We will charge your credit card or redeem your gift certificate at 5 p.m. the Thursday before your class. After the cancellation policy, your class becomes NON-REFUNDABLE. If you are signing up friends for the classes, please note that we will charge your card for all the spaces being held under your credit card number. It is your responsibility, if you do not want your card to be charged for all spaces under your name, for you to have your friends call us with their credit card information.
We are not responsible for getting their credit card numbers.
The international pantry reserves the right to charge your card for spaces reserved under your card number.
*On the night of your class, each person signed up will have a sticky note with their name on it at their assigned seat. If you have a seating preference, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Please do not move your assigned seat.
If you would like a different seat the night of the class, please ask for assistance.
Classes fill up very quickly so call promptly to reserve your spot. Be patient bc classes are very popular and we only have 1 phone line.
You MUST call the store at (405)360-0765 between 10am and 6pm Monday thru Friday and Saturday 10am to 5pm to enroll. We will NOT accept "Walk in" reservations until noon on the day the list comes out.
Please DO NOT leave voicemail or email messages to reserve your class. We WILL NOT reserve or cancel spaces via voicemail or email.

They are scheduled to take place during the week excluding Fridays.
Classes are approximately 2 - 2.5 hours in length

Pozole- Mexican pork stew with hominy, Mexican squash, and served with radish, jalapeno, cilantro and lime garnish

Chicken tinga tacos- fire roasted and chipotle sauce tossed with garlic shredded chicken served on corn tortillas and topped with pico de gallo, crema and cilantro

Andrea is our newest chef to join our cooking classes! She is a private chef with years of experience catering and creating exquisite private dining experiences for her clients. We are super excited to add her to our lineup!

Our Chefs
Luke Fry
Luke is a native to the state of Oklahoma. Born and raised in Norman, he had a strong fondness for all things art. Son of an artist, Luke always excelled in these areas. After high school he left Oklahoma for the bright lights and windy corridors of Chicago, where he attended the cooking and hospitality of Chicago - Le Cordon Bleu. After some time his heart grew weary for his home state, on his return he started work in the central Oklahoma area of restaurants. He has been working hard making a name for himself as a seasoned chef in central Oklahoma ever since. Starting at Legends fresh out of culinary school, then Nonna's. Bill Forster
Bill is one of our long time guest chefs! He is currently the private chef for Aleksej Pokusevski (#17 of OKC Thunder) and also doing catering and private cooking lessons
Gerry Reardon
Gerry and Jen Reardon previously were the managing partners for El Toro Chino here in Norman. Gerry is now the Chef and director of operations for The Wedge holding group which owns both Wedge Pizzerias, The Drum Room and The Mantel.
Klaudya Barcenas
Klaudya attended the Pizza and Culinary Academy in Chicago last Spring and is now working at Rendezvous Pizza in Downtown OKC. She loves to teach authentic Mexican Dishes to keep her grounded!
Josh Valentine
Josh is our very own Top Chef! Josh placed 3rd is season 10 of the show and, yes he teaches cooking classes here!! Josh is a master with flavors and menus. You don’t want to miss his classes! Josh is now the Executive Chef at Milo Restaurant at The Ellison Hotel in OKC.
Anthony Compagni
Anthony is back! He is currently Executive chef at Bienvenutis
